I would like to start by asking you a question. Think about this:
What if there was a time machine that can take you five or ten years back in time, with the amazing ability that you will be younger as you were at that period of time? Also, you get to keep all your memories and your knowledge that you have right now!
Now I have to ask you…
Will you still be scared to get on a stage in front of thirty ten year olds?
Will you find math tough?
Will you be mean to others or be a bully as you did back then?
Will you quit your passion or your friendships just because there were few roadblocks or misunderstandings?
Will your problems in life look insurmountable?
Will you make the same mistakes that you made then?
The answer is no! All of the “problems” that you had five or ten years ago seem silly now, don’t they? They seem silly to me too. I wish I can go back in time and talk to myself. To tell myself not to give up. That life is going to get better. That I am going to get better.
You are a wiser person now. You are a better person. You understand what you can do.
Now what if I told you an older you, ten or fifteen years in the future is going to visit you? What do you think he/she is going to say to you? Probably the same things you want to tell your younger self.
What I am trying to say is, whatever your problems are now, know that you can solve them. Nothing is impossible. Try. You might fail. Try again. Never give up trying to achieve your goals, your ambitions.
Think like the old you and be fearless, because you already have what it takes. You just don’t know it yet!
